TARA RAFTING

The Tara canyon is part of the Tara River rafting route. The canyon is skydiving into the depths of earth, a furrow deeply cut between sky-high mountains, one of the deepest and most beautiful canyon in the world. Tara is also called the „Tear of Europe “because of extremely pure water that you can drink. Steep, narrow, with sharp edges several hundred meters deep, the canyon is rich in caves of various sizes and appearances. The canyon features rocky and pebbly terraces, sandy beaches, high cliffs, and more than 80 large caves. 

The most attractive part of the Tara River canyon is full of rapids, waterfalls, rich forests which are scraping the sky and will take away the breath of even the most hard-to-please world travelers. This is one of the rare oases of untouched nature and is a reserve for many endemic species.

During the rafting, you will pass through the zone of the National Park Biogradska Gora and the town Mojkovac. Apart from the excitement that brings winter rafting on Tara, you will enjoy in the magnificent view of the surrounding mountains.

After the end of the rafting, you will return to Kolasin, where you will have lunch in one of the local restaurants.
